Kittehnaut: Space Kitty Rider is a game about drawing paths for a cat to ride through space. It has no accounts, no sign-in, and no server of its own. We never see your cats, your levels, or anything else you do in the game.
Everything the game keeps — the cats you design and what they wear, the levels you build, your fish, the items you own, and your settings — is stored on your phone or tablet by the app itself. None of it reaches us: there is no Kittehnaut server, and we have no copy of any of it. Uninstalling the game deletes it.
The first time the game starts, it asks how old you are. It keeps only whether you are under 13, never the age itself, and uses that only to decide which kind of ads to ask for (see below). It is not sent to us or to anyone else.
You can share a level you have built. The game turns the level into a code and hands it to your phone's own share sheet, and you choose where it goes. The code contains only the level — its lines and items — and nothing about you.
Kittehnaut shows two kinds of ad, both supplied by Google AdMob. After several minutes of play, a full-screen ad may appear at a break, such as after a ride ends, never in the middle of one. You can also choose to watch a short ad to put towards an item in the store. A one-off purchase removes the full-screen ads. Ads are the only part of the game that uses the network.
If you are under 13, every ad request is marked as directed at a child. Google then serves only ads suitable for children (rated G), does not personalise them or use them to track you, and restricts the information it collects. The game does not show a consent form or a tracking prompt to players under 13.
If you are 13 or over, AdMob receives technical information from your device to serve ads, such as a device advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, and basic device and app details. Players in the UK and EEA are asked for consent first. On iOS you are also asked, through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, whether the identifier may be used for tracking; say no and ads still appear, just less targeted. You can change these choices later in your device's settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads).
That processing is Google's, described in Google's privacy & terms and the AdMob policies. We receive no personal information from it.
You can buy packs of fish (the game's currency), bundles of items for your cat, and a one-off purchase that removes ads, with real money. Each purchase is handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never see your payment details. Parents can control purchases through Apple's Ask to Buy, Google Play's purchase authentication and family settings.
No accounts or sign-in. No chat or contact with other players. No analytics, crash reporting or tracking of our own. Nothing you make is sent anywhere unless you share it yourself.
Kittehnaut is made for players of all ages, including children. We do not collect personal information from anyone, and from players under 13 the ads collect only what Google allows for child-directed requests, as above. A parent with any question can contact us below.
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date above.
